Central Florida Sierra Club is pleased to say that Department of Community Affairs issued a recommended that Osceola County not develop the NE area of the county.
The Osceola NE site is located in the headwaters of the Florida’s Kissimmee Lakes Northern Everglades basin and the St Johns-Econ Mosiac. The numerous natural ecosystem types, including numerous important uplands, serve important biological and hydrological functions. The land is also connected to wildlife corridors with statewide and regional ecological significance.
