Dec. 5th: Holiday Bike Ride through Conway

Meet at 7:00pm at Conway Middle School, and we’ll bike for about 2 hours to look at holiday decorations. Be sure to have both a head and tail light for your bike, and wear a helmet. We’ll check out the scenery of urban Orlando-there are even peacocks living off of Conway! Afterwards we’ll have cider and cookies at Rodney’s house.

Dec. 13th: Kayak, Hike and Picnic on Makinson Island in Lake Tohopekaliga near Kissimmee

We’ll show you the real Florida:wildlife, tropical plants and trees. The water’s edge remains pristine
and inviting just as it was when Chief Osceola of the Seminole Indians hunted and fished here long
ago. Owned by the Makinson family originally, the 132-acre island offers 3.5 miles of hiking trails and wildlife viewing. Located in the middle of Lake Tohopekaliga, the island housed exotic animals before the state bought it in 1999. The island is now a county park and is open to the public. No rentals available. We’ll meet at 9:30 a.m.- contact us for driving directions.

RSVP: Rodney (321) 436-2349 or This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
