St. Johns River Eco-Heritage Boat Trip to Benefit Environmental Organization!

Join St. Johns Riverkeeper for a 2-day cruise along the St. Johns River between Palatka and Sanford, FL!  Each day, passengers enjoy spectacular scenery, delicious lunches, fascinating speakers and historical re-enactors. We will stop along the way to visit interesting and beautiful places, such as Hontoon Island, Mount Royal, and Silver Glen Springs.   Experience the true beauty and essence of the St. Johns River.  Learn about its history, flora and fauna from naturalists, authors, historians, storytellers, and a third generation native Floridian.

“You learn so much about the history, culture, and ecology of the St. Johns River aboard these cruises.  These trips provide passengers with a new perspective, understanding, and appreciation of this American Heritage River,” says Neil Armingeon, St. Johns Riverkeeper.

Reservations are limited to 50 passengers, and children under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a guardian.  Some physical requirements do apply, as well.

Your cruise boat is a USCG inspected water taxi with comfortable seating, tables, excellent river viewing, and toilet facilities.  This secure boat will travel at approximately 15 mph, unless restricted by speed zones, to offer maximum viewing opportunities.

You can experience the wonders of the St. Johns for only $325 per person.  The trip includes boat travel, ground transportation, catered lunches, parking, entertainment and overnight accommodations.    Both days you will enjoy entertaining speakers, afternoon excursions, and delicious lunches in special places.  A chartered bus will transport you to Palatka from Jacksonville on October 22nd and back to Jacksonville from Sanford on October 23rd or will transport you from Jacksonville to Sanford on Saturday morning, October 24th, and from Palatka back to Jacksonville on October 25th for the second trip.

Upcoming Eco-Heritage Boat Trips:

  • Palatka to Sanford          October 22 - 23
  • Sanford to Palatka        October 24 - 25
