We were very fortunate to have noted author and friend of Sierra, Bill Belleville, as the keynote speaker of our April 2006 general meeting. Mr. Belleville delighted the crowd with a photographic essay of some of the natural wonders of the Sunshine State but not before enchanting us with his powerful prose.
Those in attendance had the rare opportunity of hearing Mr. Belleville explain a real life anecdote which led to his writing certain book passages and then the literary results!
Losing It All To Sprawl: How Progress Ate My Cracker Landscape is available now.
Don’t miss a rare opportunity to obtain an autographed copy Bill’s book! He has signed several copies and made them available through Central Florida branches of Borders. The inventory of the special books is held at the Ovideo branch of Borders. If you go there, just ask for Selene. If you visit any other branch, just tell the clerk that you’d like to have the autographed book shipped to you from the Oviedo branch.
