Sierra Club Inner City Outings (ICO)
is a community outreach program providing opportunities for urban and
low-income youth to explore, enjoy, and protect the natural world.
ICO volunteers work through partnerships with selected agencies serving
youth in the Central Florida area. Our youth
range in age from 8 to 18 and represent diverse ethnic and cultural
backgrounds. ICO provides food, transportation, and leaders trained in
first-aid, CPR, environmental education, and youth leadership.
Central Florida's ICO program is in
constant need of donations, as well as energetic new volunteers to inspire Florida youth to become
active. Our volunteers give their time, enthusiasm, and commitment to provide
thrilling learning opportunities and exploration of nature. ICO stays
successful by enlisting your help and by continuing to attract interested
people with an active concern for our community's future.
Won’t you do something special today to help us continue our effort in
serving the youth of our community?

Orlando ICO outing to Juniper Springs National Forest for a hike and swim.
The outing went well. "The agency representative is a bird watcher and the kids would point out
birds for her. One kid even brought a phone to school to show her
photos of a bird (cardinal)."
